I am a Pittsburgh native and started in publishing as a bookseller at the University of Pittsburgh Book Center. After graduating from Pitt, I moved on to a variety of sales and marketing positions at both Random House and Penguin Books, where I worked on the campaigns of many bestselling and award-winning books. I oversaw the marketing for the Penguin Poets series, including works by National Book Award–winner Terrance Hayes and Pulitzer Prize–winner Carl Dennis. As marketing director of Penguin Classics, I worked on the Pelican Shakespeare series and their list of world classics. At the University of Pittsburgh Press, I am excited about all the marketing opportunities for our wide and varied list of award-winning trade and scholarly titles, and I enjoy working with Western Pennsylvania booksellers in particular.
