Mick Gusinde-Duffy

I love book projects that play across disciplines, coupling rich, empirical insights with lucid theoretical takes. I aim to fix the World, one book at a time, but my social justice instincts are broad and pragmatic. I help authors articulate their arguments in clear, compelling prose for smart, engaged readers.

All told, I have more than thirty-five years’ experience acquiring books in academic, professional, and literary publishing, and I still love to learn something new every day.

Beyond the book, I have a long-standing commitment to digital scholarship and remain deeply engaged in seeking the best ways to truly publish (not post) that scholarship.

I will be working for the University of Pittsburgh Press from Fort Collins, Colorado.
