I have a long-standing connection to university press publishing in Pittsburgh, beginning with an internship at Carnegie Mellon University Press as an undergraduate creative writing major. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon with a master’s degree in rhetoric, I joined the University of Pittsburgh Press as a production assistant. I later served as managing editor, and then was promoted to the editorial and production manager. I currently serve as the editorial and production director. I oversee the Press’s manuscript editorial and design and production departments, and I enjoy working closely with authors and colleagues to create books that win awards for outstanding design and scholarship. I am the father of three lovely children and steward of two cats.
