The University of Pittsburgh Press announces changes to two longstanding series. Natalia Milanesio took over as Series Editor of the Pitt Latin American Series from Catherine Conaghan on July 1, 2026. Conaghan has been involved with the series since 1995 and served as the sole Series Editor since 2016. Milanesio is Professor of Modern Latin American History at the University of Houston. The 2027 Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize is open for submissions. The Starrett prize is awarded for a first full-length book of poems and carries a cash award of $5,000 and publication by the University of Pittsburgh Press as part of the Pitt Poetry Series.
